Upcoming world title challenger says he'll be like a 'hyena' in next fight

Richard Riakporhe is in a confident mood as he gets ready to fight for his first world title against former opponent, Chris Billam-Smith.

Riakporhe should have the crowd on his side with the fight taking place at Crystal Palace’s Selhurst Park, and he’s aiming to make that count in a fight shown live on Peacock in the US (click here for details).

In 2019, the pair first crossed paths and it was Riakporhe who got the nod via split decision after he managed to drop his opponents.

Since then, the Bournemouth man has responded brilliantly and become WBO cruiserweight champion, but Riakporhe has sent out a warning.

"He's got experience, he's world champion, he has the title, but I've got hunger, will and he's fighting a salivating Hyena that hasn't eaten for a week,” said Riakporhe when speaking to Sky Sports.

“It's going to be a tough fight for Chris Billam-Smith."
