Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - Undercard heavyweight sends serious warning

Zhilei Zhang can take another step towards a world title shot this week when he goes in with Joseph Parker on Friday.  

The number one contender with the WBO enjoyed a stellar 2023 as he became the first man to defeat Joe Joyce before repeating the win in an immediate rematch. 

Next up for Zhang is a showdown with Parker, a former victim of Joyce, and victory should set up a big opportunity later in the year.  

Despite the titles in the division all being tied up due to Tyson Fury’s May battle with Oleksandr Usyk, Zhang has remained patient impressively and he’s promising to deliver another emphatic performance against the veteran New Zealander. 

“My training camp has been really good,” said Zhang when speaking to Boxing News. 

“But I look at it as a training camp of hell, and now the gates to hell are open, Big Bang is coming with the fire and it’s going to burn the opponent down.”
