Carl Froch names the two Manchester United legends that he wants to see fight inside the boxing ring

Carl Froch often has his say on boxing and now the former world champion has added football to his list of topics he discusses.  

A Nottingham Forest fan, Froch was often linked to a fight at his club’s City Ground stadium, but he’s recently been discussing two Manchester United legends with the news that Wayne Rooney has been reported to be stepping into the boxing ring. 

Roy Keane, who once played for Nottingham Forest before joining Manchester United, is the player that Froch wants to see face Rooney in the ring.  

Both players, former teammates at Old Trafford, had reputations as being tough players and Froch wants to see if they can take that tenacity into the ring against each other. 

"I think Wayne Rooney could have a fight, I think he used to do a bit of boxing,” said Froch when speaking to Grosvenor Casinos. 

“I wonder if Roy Keane could have a fight? I'd like Wayne and Roy, imagine the build-up would be great, two Man Utd legends at Old Trafford, it would be massive.”
