Arsen Goulamirian vs. Zurdo Ramirez: Tony Bellew names big disadvantage for defending champion

There is a huge world title fight taking place this Saturday live on DAZN in Inglewood, California.

In what will be his first fight since 2022, WBA world cruiserweight champion Arsen Goulamirian is back in action against Gilberto "Zurdo" Ramirez.

Ramirez will be attempting to become a two-weight world champion against an opponent who for a world champion, has been very inactive over recent years, and former WBC cruiserweight champion Tony Bellew believes this prolonged absence from the ring could hinder Goulamirian if he is to keep hold of his world title belt.

"Inactivity is the biggest killer of all fighters, and he’s [Goulamirian] suffered it really bad," Bellew told DAZN.

"In this fight with Zurdo it could be the one that costs him, purely inactivity because he’s going to need a good four, five, six rounds to get into this fight, get in the rhythm of things again.

"Depending on how hard his camp’s been, how hard the sparring has been, he could be way off in this fight, and he’s a good fighter."

In addition to this upcoming clash with Ramirez being Goulamirian's first fight in two years, it will also be the first time the Frenchman has fought outside of Europe.
