Bayern Munich star sends message to Arsenal player following Champions League draw

Bayern Munich and Arsenal were drawn together on Friday for a Champions League quarter-final tie next month, and one of the German side's most iconic players provided immediate reaction to the pairing of the teams.

Thomas Muller took to social media moments after the tie was made official and he called out a friend and fellow Germany international who plays for the London club.

"And it's Arsenal," Muller said on Instagram. "Kai Havertz, I am waiting for you."

"No it's a nice draw," he added. "Two very good teams, two very good stadiums, two very good cities. It will be tough, but I'm always positive."

Arsenal are currently first in the Premier League but are tied on points with Liverpool and lead Manchester City by just a single point. Meanwhile, Bayern find themselves in an unfamiliar position as they are 10 points behind Bundesliga leaders Bayer Leverkusen.
