Kai Havertz reveals key to Arsenal success following another dominant road victory

Arsenal regained first place in the Premier League with a convincing 3-0 victory at Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.

The Gunners got goals from Bukayo Saka, Kai Havertz and former Seagull Leandro Trossard as they continued the red-hot form that has them in amongst a three-team race for the title along with Liverpool and Manchester City.

With those two teams also winning consistently of late, Havertz said Arsenal's ability to step their efforts up in the closing stages of the season is a testament to their commitment to challenging for the title.

"We are ready for the challenge and we are up for it," Havertz told Sky Sports. "Every week we play at the limit and maybe we can play better.

"The attitude and work-rate of the boys is phenomenal and everyone put everything into that game - that is why we are successful right now."

Saturday's match was another road victory in which the North London side scored in bunches, following recent trips to Sheffield United, Burnley and West Ham where they scored six, five and six goals, respectively.

But while Arsenal lead the league in goals, they also boast the best defensive record, which Havertz said is a large reason why the team are challenging for the league crown.

"The boys at the back, what they are doing is outstanding and everyone is involved in that," he said. "We try to get the ball high up the pitch, but how they defend the box is incredible."
