Australian fighter becomes world champion and immediately calls out legendary boxer

Skye Nicolson is a world champion after capturing the WBC featherweight title with a dominant win against Sarah Mahfoud.

The fight, which took place in Las Vegas, allowed Nicolson to showcase her wide repertoire of skills as she was too good for Mahfoud who had no idea how to combat Nicolson’s attacks.

The Australian fighter began the contest well and after getting on top early, she didn't let her lead surrender.

The scorecards reflected the bout with Nicolson taking every round from two of the judges, and she immediately set her sights on Amanda Serrano.

“I’m ready when she is ready,” said Nicolson in the ring in the immediate aftermath of the fight.

“Obviously, I want the belts. It’s nothing personal, Amanda, but I’m ready when you are.”
