Ryan Garcia makes emphatic prediction for Canelo Alvarez vs Terence Crawford

Ryan Garcia does not give Terence Crawford any chance of beating Canelo Alvarez if the pair do eventually meet at  some point this year.

Canelo vs Crawford has been speculated for a long time and there is some belief in boxing that the contest could take place this September.

Crawford has been eager for the fight to take place since defeating Errol Spence in the summer of 2023, and it looks like he could get his wish.

Before any showdown with Crawford can take place, Canelo first must first deal with the threat of William Scull when he faces the Cuban in Saudi Arabia on May 3 , live on DAZN.

Victory for Canelo is intended to be the platform for a Crawford fight, and it is a battle that will have the boxing world excited.

Since beating Spence, Crawford has only fought once, and he was pushed all the way in a close battle against Israil Madrimov.

Crawford’s performance against Madrimov has led many to believe that jumping another two weight classes to Canelo is a risky move.

Garcia, who has spent several training camps with the Mexican superstar, is a big admirer of Crawford, but he believes it will be Canelo who has his hand raised.

“He [Crawford] can’t beat Canelo. He didn’t look that strong against Madrimov, and Madrimov isn’t even big,” said Garcia when speaking on the Ring Champs podcast

“The thing with Canelo is that he’s mastered his style. He understands what’s always going on in the ring. I just don’t see him beating Canelo.”
