William Scull form and history
Born in Cuba and based out of Berlin, Germany, Scull has slowly amassed an impressive record since turning professional in 2016 against Gaston Dario Avalos. He has won all of his fights since his amateur days and has looked sharp across his career, particularly in his last two bouts, even as he makes improvements and adjustments. Trained by fellow Cuban Franquis Aldama, who he met when they both began their boxing careers in Matazanas, Scull arrives after a pair of accomplished points victories. First, he defeated Sean Hemphill in Las Vegas almost one year ago, in May 2024, to move him up to mandatory challenger status for Canelo's IBF super middleweight title. The Mexican refused to take the fight however and was subsequently stripped of his belt, with Scull then ordered to face number two contender Vladimir Shishkin. The star was last seen in the ring at the Stadthalle in Falkensee, Germany on October 2024 against his undefeated rival, with the vacant crown on the line for the winner. Scull won the fight via unanimous decision, defeating Shishkin on all three judges' scorecards to take his record and become both new IBF king and mandatory again for Canelo. 'El Indomable' will aim to make another statement on May 3rd, in an even bigger test as he aims to prove his doubters wrong and cement his stauts as one of the best in the world.Watch three incredible fight nights in one week only on DAZN
