'Look how good I look!' - George Kambosos and Jake Wyllie ready to dance after weigh-in

George Kambosos promised a statement performance for his hometown fans in Sydney this weekend, while Jake Wyllie pledged to become "the new champ" against him.

The pair meet at the Qudos Bank Arena in a super lightweight contest, marking the former's first fight in New South Wales since 2016 as he eyes a triumphant homecoming.

The latter meanwhile was drafted in at short notice to face the favourite after Daud Yordan was forced to withdraw at the start of fight week on medical grounds.

Speaking at Friday's weigh-in, both men cut relaxed and confident figures, with Kambosos telling the crowd he would deliver a showcase to be talked about against his foe.

"Look at me, look at how good I look," he said. "The weight cut was very easy and I'm ready to make a statement. I respect the kid. I don't want to disrespect him.

"But tomorrow, I'm going to make a statement out of him. I know he's been running all night, but I'll put it on [him]. I'll make a statement out of him and then we'll see after that."

Wyllie meanwhile also expressed his delight with the cut after taking the fight at short notice, adding: "I'm feeling great. I made weight, easy as ever. I'm here.

"Watch me tomorrow night, I'll put on a show, get this fight out of the way with and be the new champ. This is massive. This can change my life. I'm more than ready and focused."

The two head a massive domestic undercard, with Queenslander Skye Nicolson facing Tiara Brown in the latest defence of her WBC featherweight crown among the highlights.
