Edgar Berlanga picks the 'big fight' he wants next after Padraig McCrory

Edgar Berlanga is eager to make a fight with Jaime Munguia next if he manages to get an important victory on Saturday night. 

After a 2023 which saw him fight just once, Berlanga takes on the undefeated Padraig McCrory live on DAZN in what he is hoping can be the start of a busy year. 

If Berlanga gets his hand raised come the final bell, he will be in a position to challenge some major names at super middleweight and the dangerous Munguia is someone Berlanga believes can be the perfect dance partner for a big fight night. 

"Munguia is a big fight for us, Mexico vs. Puerto Rico, that’s a big fight right there," Berlanga told iFL TV. 

"That’s why I’ve got to break this dude up this weekend, I’ve got to outbox him and look beautiful."

Munguia has now cemented himself as a legitimate contender at super middleweight after he dispatched Britain's John Ryder with ninth round knockout last month.
