Promoter gives his verdict on Tyson Fury vs. Oleksandr Usyk undercard

Frank Warren has given his view on the undercard for Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk's huge showdown next month.

The two heavyweights will clash on May 18, after their original February date had to be rescheduled following Fury's eye injury during a sparring session.

Preceding the monumental main event, the undercard will showcase Jai Opetaia's quest for the vacant IBF cruiserweight title against Mairis Briedis, Joe Cordina's defence of his IBF super-featherweight title against Anthony Cacace, and a thrilling clash between Agit Kabeyel and Frank Sanchez.

Speaking to BoxNation, Warren had nothing but good things to say about the line-up in Saudi Arabia.

Warren said: "It’s a great card. A number of fights on there could be top of the bill. The main event is the biggest fight this century. It’s cost a fortune to get those guys in the ring and make it happen.

“The rest of it is a massive, massive bonus. Every other fight on there is a good fight, good British fights as well, Cordina versus Cacace. There are some exciting fights there all the way through.

"I don’t care what anybody says. It’s a great, great show.”
